Luige – a beloved and safe neighborhood next to Tallinn
Luige and its surrounding area have undergone rapid development in recent years and continue to grow. The Luige Center was recently opened, featuring a Rimi supermarket, a pharmacy, a pet store, a gym, and dining options. New commercial spaces, a world-class beach hall, and a padel center are currently under construction. Additionally, the area's new attraction, Kurna Park with IKEA, brings urban conveniences closer to home without the need to venture into the city bustle.
School-age children in the area attend Kiili Gymnasium and various general education schools in Tallinn. Preschoolers are welcomed at the Kangru kindergarten and the newly completed kindergarten in Vaela, which was recently awarded the title of Best Public Building in the Wooden Architecture Competition.
This is the perfect place to raise children or engage in outdoor activities. Just a stone's throw from the Luige neighborhood, you'll find beautiful forest trails where you can fill your lungs with fresh air. There's plenty of space to walk, bike, or see what's new at the Exhibition Grounds. In Luige, there's something to do from morning till evening.
Luige is just a 15-minute drive from Tallinn's city center. The upcoming Kangru traffic junction will make commuting to the capital even more convenient for both drivers and non-drivers. Additionally, the fast public transport provided by Rail Baltica, with a Luige train stop, will bring jobs and educational institutions in the capital even closer once the railway is completed.
